Cha: A History of Tea

In August 2018, eight Grade 6 students — Anaya, Chavi, Dhruv, Mithul, Raghav, Saif, Yathi and Zarah — put together Cha, a hand-illustrated booklet tracing the story of tea from its legendary beginnings in ancient China, through England, the Boston Tea Party and the Brahmaputra valley, all the way home to the Nilgiris and the Mountain Railway that still carries the region's tea out to the world today. Every page pairs the students' own research with an original illustration by Anaya Thomas.
